Society member Francesco Cutolo has published a book exploring the relationship between Italian soldiers and the enemy (Austro-Hungarian and German), analyzing its different aspects (violence, hatred, solidarity, fraternization, etc.), while considering influencing factors such as propaganda, the wartime context, and social and cultural background. The title translates as “Men Like Us”. The Enemy in the Writings of Italian Soldiers (1915-18)”.
