A conference entitled ‘the International Congress on War History Studies’ (ICOWHIS) will be held in Çanakkale, Turkey on 6-8 November 2014 at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University. The main aim of the conference is to create a platform in which wartime history studies are discussed with a specific focus on the World War I and its heritage in the 100th Anniversary. The World War I, as one of the greatest wars of humanity, requires specific attention both in national and international arenas since the Ottoman Empire participated in the war and the region itself and the surrounding areas witnessed the leading great wars.
